Dr. DiFilippo is board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been with St. Charles Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc. since 1974. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University and completed an internship at Philadelphia General Hospital. He completed a residency in general surgery at Bryn Mawr (PA) Hospital and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Saint Louis University.
Dr. Keohane is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been with St. Charles Orthopaedic Associates, Inc. since 1976. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University and completed an internship at Milwaukee County General Hospital. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Saint Louis University.
Dr. Schaberg is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been with St. Charles Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc. since 1985. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he also completed an internship and a residency in orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Powell is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been with St. Charles Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc. since 1988. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed an internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Saint Louis University Hospital.
Dr. Anthony J. Berni joined St. Charles Orthopaedic Surgery Associates in June 1998. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Throughout his career, Dr. Berni has published articles for “Emergency Medicine” and “Foot & Ankle Int.” along with being a key presenter at the prestigious American Academy of Pediatrics and Orthopaedic Research Society. In 1999, Dr. Berni served as Team Physician for the Missouri River Otters professional Hockey team for four years. Additionally, in 1994, Dr. Berni served as Team Physician for St. Louis University, NCAA Division 1, Men’s Soccer Team for four years.
Dr. Berni grew up in the St. Louis area and has been a resident of St. Charles County since 2007. Dr. Berni graduated cum laude from Missouri University School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri in 1993. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Louis University Hospital in 1998. He served as the Administrative Chief Resident for St. Louis University Department of Orthopedics in 1997 and 1998. During his residency he obtained specialized training in single incision endoscopic carpal tunnel releases and continues to treat a high volume of patients with this minimally invasive technique for carpal tunnel syndrome.
Dr. Berni has now been practicing for over fifteen years in the St. Charles area and performs surgical treatment of a wide variety of abnormalities of the musculoskeletal system. He performs many minimally invasive surgeries such as arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee as well as the aforementioned endoscopic carpal tunnel releases. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive and outpatient joint replacement surgery including partial knee replacements.
Dr. Berni’s vast experience with the musculoskeletal system allows him to provide exceptional healthcare to his patients consisting of a wide range of services, improving his patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Melander is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Methodist Sports Medicine Center and Indiana University School of Medicine. He was the team fellow for the 2007 Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts and has experience with professional, collegiate and high school athletes. Dr. Melander specializes in ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee and hip, and the treatment of injuries in the competitive and recreational athlete. He is a member of various Sports Medicine Societies and completed an internship and residency in St. Louis, Missouri at Des Peres Hospital. Dr. Quigley joined SCOSA in 2009 and is Board eligible. Dr. Quigley completed medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Louis University Hospital. He also completed his residency at St. Louis University Hospital. Dr. Quigley is a former player for the St. Louis Steamers Soccer Club.
Welcome Dr. Jeffrey Boberg to St. Charles Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc.
Dr. Boberg has lived, worked and served the medical community in the St. Louis metropolitan area since 1987. Dr. Jeffrey Boberg graduated first in his class at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) by the American Academy of Wound Management. Dr. Boberg is on the Faculty of The Podiatric Institute and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. As an internationally recognized speaker and author, Dr. Boberg continues to share his clinical expertise with academic, medical, and professional organizations throughout the country.
